Beach Booty

No not that kind of booty.  Apologies for the lack of posts last week. I was on a family beach trip and intended to post every day. Major Wi-Fi issues prohibited that but maybe it was just life's way of telling me to slow down and relax for a change. I have two new items that I loved having at the beach this year and one new beverage discovery to share with you:

Igloo Cooler Tote purchased at Target- functional and fashionable (comes in pink, yellow and blue)

Amazing Oversized Pattern Beach Towels by Peri purchased at HomeGoods (all different colors)

My new summer beer! Magic Hat #9. I'm not a huge beer drinker but when I find one I like, I stick with it. My brother in-law introduced me to Magic Hat #9. At first I thought it had a slight peach aftertaste but decided that was not it. It was driving me crazy because I knew the aftertaste was familiar...finally I figured it out.....it taste like Tea Olives smell. Does that make sense? If you haven't experienced Tea Olive bushes, they grow in the deep South (Georgia, South Carolina, etc..) and have the most wonderful smell. If you go to Charleston when they are in bloom, the entire town smells fabulous.  I think this is a perfect summer beer.

Making Progress

I purchased the Jardine outdoor expandable table from West Elm over a month and a half ago (see previous post) and have been agonizing over the right chairs. What I liked was either too expensive, too low or too wide. I thought for sure I was going with the Panton S chair but I realized our aggregate patio surface would ruin the bottoms in a matter of days as they were pushed and pulled from the table. Last weekend I spied a possibility at TJ Maxx HomeGoods. For those of you that shop HomeGoods, realize the chances of finding two matching chairs is slim let alone SIX but ours had exactly that count. I snatched them up and think they look pretty good not to mention the price was right. They aren't exactly the vibe I was originally going for but I'm sure I'll find ways to "funk" the area up.  I'm already working on that with white planters from Target (yes I know they need plants in them Mom), artichoke candle holders and funky Asian style lanterns.
