A SOUTHERN HOLIDAY COCKTAIL

I am usually not one for the sweet, filling and dare I say highly caloric cocktail drinks but this one caught my eye.  While the kids fill their bellies with cookies, cakes and other goodies on Christmas Eve, I think I will serve these to the adults as an after dinner treat.

This cocktail was featured on MadeByGirl but provided by Lauren from Perpetually Chic.  Milk punch is an old drink that's common in New Orleans and also a holiday tradition throughout the Deep South.

HOLIDAY MILK PUNCH
(I think I'll call mine a "Frosty Snowman")

UPDATE ON VOTE FOR ME POST

OK update to yesterday's post below, I possibly have the incorrect link for voting. Try this one:
https://apps.facebook.com/easypromos-premium/promotions/11206
You have to click on view and vote for entries at the bottom. I was also told you have to accept the contest rules and "Like" Emily Henderson for your vote to count. Sorry for the confusion. Emily commented on my picture so I'll be riding high on that one for awhile!  Thanks again to all!

Yesterday's Post:
Not because mine is the best but because you love me or at least some of you love me (MOM). I entered Emily Henderson's mantel/fireplace/anything horizontal Christmas display contest. I am the first to admit, mine is not the best but it's not the worst (in my opinion). I kind of threw it together quickly. Seeing as how I have no mantel, I didn't have a lot of space to work with and since the Christmas clock is ticking, I didn't have a lot of time to put towards this last minute effort to win Emily's brass trunk, which I really want!! Not to mention, I have a major design/girl crush on Emily. She is one of my favorites and just the idea that she will see a picture of my house makes me happy. Yes WMB (my sister), I know that is lame.
Anywhoooo, I would greatly appreciate it if you would click over real quick and vote for Brandy Adams. Don't look at the other entries, you may be tempted to vote for someone else :)

MY HOLIDAY WRAPPING PAPER AND GOGO GIFT CERTIFICATES

I've been seeing the traditional plaid pattern on many Christmas decor items this year.  They are all very cool but the color schemes usually don't go with my look so I was so excited to find this hot pink, purple and gold version at Target.  Target, you've come through again!  I also got these adorable gift tags from a local artist here in Nashville.

On another note, I have a client that is in marketing.  She had her graphic designers design this great holiday e-postcard for me.  How nice is that??!

So if you need a last minute gift idea for yourself or your girlfriends, don't forget the GIFT OF GOGO!  A Gogo gift certificate can be used towards Gogo Studio inventory (next Tag Sale in Feb) or Gogo design services.

Add some Gogo Style to your life!

Happy Holidays!

MY HOLIDAY DRESS CHOICE

I rarely blog about fashion but I'm so in love with my holiday dress this season, I couldn't help myself.  If you are looking for a statement dress that stands out in a crowd, the Plumes Kimono Midi Dress from Anthropologie is a good choice and let's face it, I've kind of got a peacock thing going on with my flocked tree so I just decided to run with it.

SANDY HOOK SUPPORT

Tomorrow several of my blog friends are taking a day of silence and posting the following button and nothing else. Please feel free to do the same if you would like.

On Tuesday, December 18th, there will be a blogger day of silence. We will post the button and that's it. Please try to not post anything else that day if possible.

Donations can now be directly made to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund through the United Way. Please visit: https://newtown.uwwesternct.org/

We can't imagine how they must be feeling, especially this close to the holidays. We would love for you to spread the word on your own blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Let's make a difference and use our blogging voices to spread love, hope and our prayers to all those who were directly effected from this tragedy. Thank you in advance for participating and God bless.

Love,

JUST CALL ME MRS. ROBINSON

I've been obsessing over black and white with hits of gold for awhile now.  I am definitely channeling Anne Bancroft in the Graduate......only in the design way, not the Cougar way.   I feel like everywhere I look this week I'm inspired.  My wish list is growing way too fast.

As you know, it started this week with the wallpaper and Pagoda mirror

Then I scored two Lane end tables/nightstands for Gogo Studio.  They are black lacquer with mirrored tops, two drawers and a strip of mirror in the middle.....very glam.  Let me know if you are interested.

I found a white lacquered piano at a local consignment store that may need to find it's way under our tree for a certain 9 year old.

I received a picture from a client whose living room I designed recently.  Here is Mr. Moose on Jonathan Adler grasscloth all decorated for the holidays.  I think Jonathan would approve.

Last but not least, I went shopping today and found the most amazing:

Mid Century Sofa with great lines and fun fabric
(I saw this at a recent estate sale and am now kicking myself for not getting)

The coolest Art Deco mirror I have ever seen.  It is clear on one side and smokey mirror on the other.

Mid Century Swan Lamp with Lucite Base

Black and White Architectural Drawings of Mid Century homes (another gift idea)

And finally an amazing vintage coat that fits me perfectly

Is it just me or are you seeing a pattern here?

VICTORY IS MINE!

Remember the Meredith Heron wallpaper saga a few weeks ago?  If not, read here.  Well, the priceless two double rolls that Charmaine found for me on eBay, are now hanging in my stairwell looking oh so amazing.  I had it installed just in time for the party.

Now I just need refinished stair treads, a glass banister, brushed brass handrail and a new chandelier to make it perfect.......oh a girl's work is never done!

MORE HO-HO AT THE GOGO!

Well I survived the holiday party. It was so much fun and gave me a reason to go all out on the decorations. Here are a few more shots of HO-HO at the GOGO! Sorry about the quality of the photos. I really need to use my camera instead of my phone for picture taking.
